This is really amazing and beautiful. Made by Humans Since 1982. I hope to do something like this one day.
It’s kinda funny to think about it, but I just realized that when I moved to the U.S. about a year and nine months ago I hadn’t really discovered Reddit yet. I had visited the site a few times before but I don’t think I really “got it”. The design (or lack thereof) was also a problem for me back then (in 2008-ish). Now I think that’s one of the best parts.
So how did I find the dumb Internet stuff before Reddit?
I think I got my weird links fix through Facebook back then. I still find some fun through my friends on the facingbook, but I dare to say that almost 80% – 90% comes straight from Reddit. It’s such a pure and awesome form of silliness. I do like the site’s ability to make time disappear. It’s not always good though. I’m talking about the hour long rabbit-hole-rides it will lead you on every now and then, just from clicking on one little tiny subreddit.
If you haven’t stated “wasting” time there yet, do it. You’ll thank me later… Waaay later.
Normal is not as much fun. This little film has a lot of valid points. And fun stuff.
Nice. I like this. Smart, looks cool and helps people. www.volvolifepaint.com
So, this here site. What is its purpose?
I guess it will be a way for me to share stuff that I find and like online. Mainly so I can remember it myself, but also so that all of you out there on the Internets can enjoy them. Maybe I’ll also try to write some longer texts about stuff I like and/or stuff I hate. It will hopefully also serve as a way for me to share work that I do when I’m not at work. You can find the work I do at work here.
I haven’t really decided how frequent my updates will be, I guess I’ll just have to see what happens. What I do know is, that if you check-in every now and then, you’ll always find one or a couple little nuggets that will put a smile on your face.
